Code of
ethics.

“Our behavior shapes not only individual reputation, but that of the entire school.”

Swiss School of Management is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and upholding the public's trust. This Code outlines the principles that guide every member of the SSM community — students, faculty, staff and partners.

Our commitment

We hold ourselves to a standard higher than required.

The seven principles

Seven principles
that guide everything we do.

  1. 01

    Non-Discrimination

    Equal opportunity, without exception.

The Swiss School of Management provides equal opportunity for all qualified individuals in its educational programs and activities. The School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, political affiliation or source of income.

We are committed to equal educational opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities, and we adhere to all applicable federal and state laws — including Italian Law 104/1992 and Spanish Law 51/2003 on Equal Opportunities, Non-Discrimination and Universal Accessibility.

For accessibility support, please contact disability.services@ssm.swiss.

  2. 02

    Respect

    Dignity, even in disagreement.

We nurture a climate of care, concern, fairness and civility toward others while recognizing and embracing each individual's dignity, freedom and diversity — even in the face of disagreement.

  3. 03

    Honesty & Integrity

    Truth before convenience.

We act and communicate truthfully and candidly. We uphold the school's values and make decisions based on the greater good, conducting ourselves free of personal conflicts, impropriety and self-dealing.

  4. 04

    Communication

    Transparent by default.

We openly share information with our stakeholders regarding the processes used in developing policies and making decisions for the school.

  5. 05

    Stewardship

    Resources held in trust.

We use school resources in a wise and prudent manner in order to achieve our educational mission and strategic objectives. We do not use school resources for personal benefit or gain.

  6. 06

    Excellence

The standard we set for ourselves.

We conduct all school affairs diligently, exercising due professional care and striving to meet the high expectations we have set for ourselves as well as those of the people we serve.

  7. 07

    Responsibility & Accountability

    Answerable for every decision.

We are trustworthy and answerable for our conduct, decisions and obligations, and we comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. We recognize our obligation to report unethical conduct to the appropriate authorities.
